Assistant Pastor Jacob and Darlene Smith

Jacob and Darlene Smith
Assistant Pastor and Assistant Pastors Wife

Assistant Pastor Smith received the Holy Ghost in 2004 and his life was forever changed. A few months after, he faced one of the hardest trials of his life and became very sick in mind and body and needed around the clock care. With much prayer and faith standing, God delivered him from every sickness. When the trial was over, He testified of the greatness of God, and he said, "Now I know the voice of God and that God is true to his words that he will never leave you or forsake you."

Jacob Smith, Jr. and his wife, Darlene, have been married for 18 years. They have six children, Dejanelle, Elijah, Javion, Jacob III, Autumn and Isaiah. They love spending time with family and starting new adventures.

Bro. Smith began to feel the call of God on his life at the age of 23. He and his wife began to teach in house meetings, tent revivals, and some street ministry services. After years in ministry, in April 2021, he accepted the call to become the Assistant Pastor at Life Tabernacle Church. God has anointed them to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ and they desire to see Him fulfilled in the lives of the lost, hurting, depressed, bound and to see all set free. Their goal is to be a light in a world full of darkness, to show that there's hope in Jesus and He's an anchor to all that comes to Him. Their main focus is and will always be to continue to reach as many that will hear this Jesus Name message and to see the Holy Ghost poured out into their lives.

Bro. and Sis. Smith believe that behind every wall is a city... and that city must be reached!

Ascend Youth Committee

The Ascend Youth Committee consist of five youth leaders: Amy Coto, Timothy Thomas, Matthew Mahuron, Nathaniel Griffin, and Sierra Ryant. Each one of them have a deep burden and love for the young people of the church and the city.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Psalm 24:3-6 (KJV)

It is the goal of the Ascend Youth Committee to guide each student to live a life of "clean hands and pure hearts." They are excited to see the growth of God and revival in the lives of our young people.

The youth services are held every other Wednesday night @ 7:00 pm. During this service we allow the youth and young people to be used by means of testimonies, playing of musical instruments, singing, doing skits, preaching and leading services. They are also engaged in youth hangouts and other ministries throughout the church.
